Gig Harbor

Greetings and Salutations from Gig Harbor, WA!  I tried a new to me shop this morning, the Kimbal Coffee House.  A small shop that serves up caffeinated beverages.  They were quite busy today with a host of drinks and meals.  The place was busy and hopping and very noisy!   The brown sugar cinnamon latte was a bit to hot and require a splash of cream to make it ready for consumption.  I took it outside to enjoy away from the interior din. They do host live music at various times of the week.  The latte was okay, but making a good beverage was not the number one priority from what I could taste.  I may go back to sample the breakfast out of curiosity.  They are found at  6659 Kimball Dr a102, Gig Harbor, WA 98335 3.9 - ☕️

A Better Stop

Travelers need to know that not all coffee shops are worth stopping at.  I need of a caffeine fix while heading north in Oregon Istopped in Springfield at the Off Kilter Coffee shop.  What a disappointment, the drink(?) was way off kilter!  The liquid I was given smelled of burnt coffee and really hot milk.  Yuck!   1.1 - ☕️ Fortunately for me just a few miles away was another shop called Jitterbug Java!  Thank goodness too, as I still wanted some caffeine.    I told the barista what I wanted and then asked her to dump my other beverage without saying anything.  She dumped it and asked where I had gotten the burnt beverage from?  I just said a competitor and left it at that.  She made me a marshmallow carmel latte that was scrumptious and gave me the boost I needed to finish my drive Stop by 449 Q Street if you are in Springfield,  OR. 4.7 - ☕️😊😊😊😊

A winning stop

Some days we just get lucky.  The day I found this truck in Napa I should have bought a lottery ticket! I was on my way to Yountville when I decided that I needed a latte and I stumbled upon this wonderful truck next to the building where they roast their beans.  Peggy, the batista and owner created a fantastic latte.  It was only the second time I had a latte that needed no sugar.  The first was made by my son at a bistro in Petaluma. The combination of perfectly roasted beans at OHM and a well trained batista made a delightful cup, and combined with a perfectly flaky croissant made my morning most excellent!  Thank you very much Peggy. The truck can be found parked at 849 Jackson St, Unit 1A, Napa, CA 94559 most days or at some event in the area 5.0 - ☕️           5.o - 🥐 This truck can be found parked in front of the roaster at
